For too long, Australian businesses have generally taken one of two appoaches to building a proper business website.

Historical option 1.

They have either been willing to accept that a 'proper business website' has to be a difficult animal that can only be tamed and maintained by the expensive IT genius who sets it up and then keeps all the secrets to themselves (you don't have to be held to ransom anymore!).

Under this scenario, the investment historically has always been a significant upfront cost that you tried to amortise over as many years as possible. Again - no longer the case!

Historical option 2. 

The alternative that many small to medium Businesses invested in, is what has been described as Electronic Brochures or 'Nephew ware'. You know the type of site we are talking about, the one designed and set up by someone with little to no business experience for a few hundred dollars. Someone trustworthy like the Receptionists-Auntes-Cousins-Newphew. It might even work pretty well for awhile but just try making any changes to keep it up to date or add in any real business level functionality in the future!

There are better options

Both of these alternatives above are not acceptable in the modern business environment and you now have access to substantially better options! Believe it or not, there are actually a few website developers out there that actually appreciate the reality of Australian businesses.
