When our Managing Director Craig Leaney was the keynote speaker at a recent event for Business Acumen Queensland, the keynote speaker that started the function was Jillian Kingsford Smith from FutureBuzz and she had the audience buzzing straight away! Jillian is a regular columnist for Business Acumen and has been working with them on their Social Media strategies.
Jillian and Craig had spoken before the event to make sure they were not going to provide completely opposing opinions while on stage (that sometimes happens at Keynote Presentations!). During what was meant to be a brief professional courtesy check, they discovered the shared almost identical views on effective marketing, integrity and the use of social media.
It is so refreshing to find someone that can simplify and make sense of social media and then turn it into the effective business tool that it is capable of becoming. If you don't think social media affects your business, you may want to think again!
