Examine
First we investigate the
current situation; we map the existing sales process and check the factual results against the verbally reported ones. We gather all the
necessary data to make an accurate evaluation of the results being
achieved to date and the reasons for those results. During this stage
we often uncover significant constraints to a successful sales process
that are obvious the moment they are investigated with an outsiders
perspective. We also start to see where the real opportunities are.
Calculate
Before we embark on any
further action we make sure we are clear about the benefits to be
gained and the potential downside of any proposed actions. There is no point to swamping a business with new leads if all we need to do for now is fix the conversion rate from existing enquiries! We need to
be clear about the size of the gains to be made and how they are going
to be calculated. We never focus just on revenue generation. Every strategy must involve increased levels of nett profit otherwise there is no point in pursuing it. We confirm what the business owner really wants. There are always more than just financial considerations and we want to know how to measure when we have
achieved those goals?
Customise
We then take the best
components from the diverse experience we have and devise a customized
sales strategy designed to deliver the specific outcomes targeted with
the client. At this point (with the clients advance approval) it may be
necessary to involve one of our Trusted Partners to make sure the
strategy has the necessary leverage.
Engage
Then we seek to gain the
commitment of all the necessary parties involved. We want to make sure
everyone is in agreement and we have their total buy-in towards the
strategy.
Execute
We implement the agreed sales
strategy and deliver any training programmes where necessary. We manage the
whole process and the relationship with the key stake holders. This is
often a multi stage process with key milestones along the pathway to
successful implementation.
Debrief
At prescribed times, milestones
or stages we will report on the progress, make any recommendations and
then realign the attitudes, activities and behaviours where required to
make sure we are heading toward the correct outcomes.
