Initial Consultations

Having a mentor is one of the best resources that any business owner or manager can have. Finding one that you can trust and afford is the next big challenge! Most people entering (and already in business) just want to gain access to the best ideas for them to use and good people to do business with. That is what our Initial Consultations are all about!

Access to experience

At some point in our lives we come to realise that the more we learn, the more there is left to learn. Some people go on to be good at many different things but great at none. Others decide that if they can't know it all, then they are going to have one particular subject totally under control and not worry about the rest! We are not Business Coaches or Personal Coaches! We are experts at working out the best way to get your product or service generating you profits!

3:3:3:1 Ratio

The challenge with either owning and managing a business is that there are about 10 different skill sets that are crucial to the successful operation of that business. Our experience is that most people are great at 3 of them - that's why they are in business in the first place! They are OK at the next 3 because they have had to learn how to be to survive. Usually they are really ordinary at the last 3 skills which is where the greatest challenges lay for them on a day to day basis. What about the final 1 we hear you ask? This is usually the skill that they didn't even know they had to have and don't realise how much damage it is doing! If sales is not in your top 3 skills, we can help you and we should talk ASAP!

It often involves some 'tough love'

Truthfully, we often have to dish out some hard truths about what we discover during our initial consultations. It is hard when someone is in love with their product, service or idea to tell them that they have wasted most of their money and we don't believe it is either viable financially or the best use of their time and efforts as it stands. Knowing where to invest your limited funds to gain the maximum result can be tricky at the best of times. We have seen situations where the funds being spent are generating little to no return at all and a small change to strategy will change all that almost instantly.

There is alot more to Sales than most people realise

Devising successful sales strategies is a full time job when done properly. Keeping up with market trends takes time and effort as does understanding how to use current technology to your advantage. We invest hours every week working out what has changed within the last week!

Australia is NOT the USA!

Ideas that are tested in a massive market like America do not always translate to the Australian market. There are several populations based reasons for that but there is just as importantly, the cultural differences in the way Aussies like to buy. We are all for conquering the world and have helped several companies take on the best and win. It feels great but the reality is that the majority of Australian companies (97% of Aussie Companies are small to medium ie: they employ less than 5 people) need to conquer their local suburb or city first. There are diamonds in the backyard so why go looking elsewhere? That takes a different strategy, a different investment and timeline to make small to medium businesses work.

Using tested successful ideas from non-competitive markets

By using the best ideas that have worked for our clients and contacts that are in a non-competitive or complimentary market, we have regularly been able to fast track the increase in profitability for our current and new clients.

Making strategic connections

Getting to know the right people is a great start, but working out how to set up deals that systematically generate profits is one of those missing key ingredients that makes all the difference to any business but especially those targeting significant growth or in the 'start up' phase.

futurebuzz_logo.jpg“Craig is a brilliant speaker and communicator. There's plenty of 'experts' out there, promising the world but delivering little. In just one evening, Craig facilitated countless strategic alliances, taught his audience several valuable lessons and managed to make the event fun and entertaining. For me, this was one of the best networking and professional development events I'd attended in a long time and I immediately recommended his services - as a speaker and trainer - to several other organisations I'm involved in. Hooray for Craig!”

"I've been involved in a variety of businesses over the last 20 years, and I have found the key factor to success is being involved with the right kind of people. The kind of people that you can trust and invite into your
business and personal lives. With Craig, I found that to be a very rewarding experience on both a business level and a personal level."

"My concept for a dartboard golf game had reached a certain stage where I needed an expert opinion on it's sales potential. I was referred to Craig and we arranged an hour long meeting, but after ten minutes I was convinced that I was on a winner. The ideas and strategies that he rattled off just blew me away and I was all for it. I left that meeting convinced that I would have a successful business so all I have to do now is convince my wife!"
