One of the most pleasing changes to the modern Australian education system, is the emphasis that many institutions are placing on real world learning. The days of being rewarded for simply repeating back a list of pre-approved responses seems to be fading fast.
Students Must Demonstrate Understanding
Being able to understand the options that are available to them is a great start. Being able to explain why they would choose one particular option over the others and then be able to actually apply it into a real world situation is what we would describe as real world learning.
Sales Strategy and Sales Training
Educational Institutions are receiving feedback from their students that there are important components missing from their course. Not effectively covering the subjects of sales strategies and how to sell their new prospective employers' products or services leaves many students under-prepared for the real world. We have worked with students from courses as varied as you could imagine. They vary from the obviously entreprenuerial Business students, to Beauty Therapists in training, to the emerging Engineers that will take charge of our future infrastructure. Students need to learn how to the real world works and what they can do about ensuring they become a great investment for their future employers.
Mature Age Students and External courses
We are proud to be able to support many educational institutions in their endeavours to make learning relevant, fun and ultimately profitable for all involved. Our Managing Director Craig Leaney has enjoyed presenting as a Guest Lecturer across a wide range of courses. We have been able to maintain contact with many of the mature age students in particular and support them through the start up phase of the business ventures. Many of these were incubated during their studies.
